What is Isover insulation?
Isover is a specialist in creating glass wool and stone wool insulation, both of which offer effective insulating properties. The majority of Isover insulation roll in stock here at Insulation Express is made from glass wool or fibreglass as it’s also known.
Glasswool is created by heating glass to a very high temperature before spinning it to create fibres. Isover glass wool insulation roll is made from up to 80% recycled content!
As the name suggests, stone wool (also known as mineral wool) is made by spinning motel rock and minerals with steel slag. Isofix stone wool is made up of 50% recycled content.
Is Isover insulation waterproof?
Some types of Isover insulation offer water-resistant properties. For example, Isover Acoustic Partition Roll is made from rot-proof, non-hygroscopic materials, which means the insulation won’t absorb moisture from the air.
Is Isover insulation fireproof?
Both the Isover Spacesaver and Isover acoustic partition roll have received a Euroclass A1 fire rating according to BS EN13501-1. Both insulation rolls are non-combustible.
