Does it affect the thermal properties if I don't seal the joints?
You must seal any joints with foil tape when installing insulation. Doing this prevents air leakage, stops moisture coming through and reduces heat loss.
Not sealing joints will affect the thermal properties because the gaps between the boards will mean you are losing heat.
