Customer Questions
Why are they called wallboards and not plasterboard?
Manufacturers call their standard plasterboard wallboard, which is their basic model. It is a plasterboard without high levels of sound, moisture or fire resistance.
What is the recommended spacing for studs?
Usually, on a timber frame, studs would be 450mm or 600mm wide. This depends on whether you are insulating between them or not. Rockwool insulation for instance comes up at 600mm wide.
