Celotex TB4040 is an extremely reliable and lightweight polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board. This board is designed for use across floor, roof and wall insulation, providing an environmentally friendly and high thermal performance solution for reducing heat loss.
Celotex TB4040 is a polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with low-emissivity foil facings on each side to improve efficiency. This board can be used for multiple applications for external walls and timber frames.
The BBA-certified boards are manufactured to a high standard and are specifically designed to be light and rigid, improving transportation, handling and fitting. Due to this, they are an extremely reliable and long-term board.
They are also a sustainable building choice with a BRE Green Guide Rating of A.

The PIR Celotex boards are Euroclass E Reaction to Fire classification, according to BS EN 13501-1. Products with this level of classification are not provided with a rating for smoke emission.

My builders have delayed and the job isn't starting for another 2 weeks and I have nowhere to store my boards. What should I do?
Celotex and other PIR insulation boards should be stored flat and clear of the ground, in a dry place. Although it is not recommended to store outside, if there is no choice you will need to cover the boards with a tarpaulin to protect them form the elements . If you are storing the boards along with other materials, be careful of rope damage or dents from other items.
Does it affect the thermal properties if I don't seal the joints?
You must seal any joints with foil tape when installing insulation. Doing this prevents air leakage, stops moisture coming through and reduces heat loss.
Not sealing joints will affect the thermal properties because the gaps between the boards will mean you are losing heat.
